Everybody’s AI elevating data value with Listly-powered web scraping and AI
"Anybody can use AI to open their world to new opportunities!"

Some say, "AI is not a buzzword, but rather a game-changing solution with many potential benefits", but is it for those who can't code a single line or utilize artificial intelligence (AI)? Well, you know, we're living in a world where terms like 'ChatGPT', 'artificial intelligence', and 'AI assistant' are familiar to everyone. If you're still wondering how to apply them to your daily life or business, you're in the right place! In this article, we're taking a closer look into how non-developers or non-tech-savvy people can easily leverage AI through an interview with a developer who creates various products using AI tools.
Everybody's AI
Everybody’s AI is a group of people working to develop AI services based on ChatGPT. Since April 2023, the team offered two-hour-long online lectures, “Living with ChatGPT for one month”, on Mondays. Meet Goos, the director of Everybody's AI. Goos' team is working to build various AI solutions, such as NewsGPT where structured web data play a pivotal role in feeding their AI algorithms. “Listly makes it easy to extract all the information we need to gather,” Goos, the director of Everybody’s AI said.
Q. What influenced your decision to choose Listly in preparing online lectures?
A. While preparing the lectures, I needed to collect data to develop AI services, such as 'Build Your Own Chatbot' and 'Analyze Your Competitor Products and Reviews'. I had used Listly - a web scraping extension that allows you convert any website into either Excel or Google Sheets, before and remembered its easy-to-use interfaces and tutorials would be perfect for the open lectures. So I recommended it to my students, and their responses were also very positive. Since then, I have been using Listly to collect data for my lectures.
Q. Could you tell us more about the projects that you used Listly and ChatGPT?
A. Sure, I have collected 1,000 reviews about cast iron skillets using Listly and used AI to do some sentiment analysis before. One review said, in a literal translation, "I can't go to a local pork belly restaurant anymore because of this product (Korean: 이 제품 때문에 동네 삼겹살 식당에 가지 못하고 있다)', and most AI models, including GPT-3.5, GPT-4, and Claude 3 (Haiku, Sonnet, Opus), analyzed this sentence as a negative sentiment. GPT-4o was the only one that analyzed this review as positive. It was impressive that there are limitations of fully understanding pragmatic contexts using AI models due to several linguistic difficulties of the Korean language, and yet GPT-4o was quite accurate."
Q. You've mentioned NewsGPT, what is that?
A. NewsGPT is a news summarization service based on OpenAI's affordable GPT-4o mini API. It was an experimental project for me to apply the 'SMART+ER' prompt, designed for 'One Shot Prompting' to create the desired results with a single input. This service crawls news articles, summarizes them, and adds AI-generated opinions. It was developed in just 2 days using Cursor IDE. For example, the News Agent collects AI/IT-related news from abroad. The collected data is then registered in the News Factory system. The AI Agent then performs complex tasks such as translating news titles and content, summarizing the entire article, generating key summaries, creating representative keywords, tagging articles, classifying categories, and generating AI opinions, all based on the SMART+ER prompt instructions. It's impressive that all this can be done at a cost of about 0.9 won.
Q. Are there any other services you would like to develop using Listly's features or ChatGPT prompts in the future?
A. Well, I would first say that Listly's features are so great because they allow you to pull almost any type of data from the web. I'm currently working on an AI project that collects information about court auctions, real estate listings, and stocks, then summarizes and organizes them using Large Language Models(LLMs), providing investment recommendations or guidance based on the analysis.
Q. Do you have any advice for those who want to create products using Listly and ChatGPT, especially for non-developers who are unfamiliar with development or coding?
A. When it comes to collecting large amounts of data, it's likely that you will encounter missing or unstructured data. In such cases, they can be easily corrected using ChatGPT. It would be beneficial to utilize Listly and ChatGPT both supporting Google Sheets. You can directly import data collected with Listly into Google Sheets via ChatGPT. Remember, 1) Collect data with Listly, 2) Export them into Google Sheets, 3) Process, translate, summarize, or classify data with ChatGPT, and 4) Maximize the AI-generated content. Always keep this workflow in mind!
