What kind of proxy should I use?

If you're unsure which proxy works best for you and want to learn more about our proxy service, you're in the right place!

Types of proxies and prices

  • Datacenter proxy - assigns a client a random IP address from its pool that belongs to a specific target country.
  • ISP proxy - is similar to a residential proxy which is bought or leased from Internet service providers (ISPs).
  • Residential proxy - is an intermediary proxy that assigns a genuine residential IP address to a client, allowing for fast access and anonymity.
  • Mobile proxy - sources an IP address from cellular networks operated by mobile carriers, featuring faster connection speeds.

To sum up, shared datacenter proxies are free to use in Listly, but they are randomly assigned with higher chances of getting blocked. In comparison, premium proxies (e.g. residential and mobile proxies) are more expensive and less likely to be banned from websites.

There may also be some cases where your web scraping is blocked with a premium proxy due to restrictions on the number of concurrent connections on some websites (e.g. Meta/Facebook, Instagram, etc) - you can adjust your scraping speed to avoid this.
